About the event
Have you ever wondered where all your, and the rest of Dorset’s, food waste goes, and what happens to it? And what about road-sweepings, wood and soil waste?
Now’s your chance to discover how Bournemouth-based company Eco Sustainable Solutions is finding innovative and ever more sustainable solutions to recycling and reusing waste products – and making a successful business of it.
Justin Stone, Eco’s Food Recycling General Manager will tell us how.
About Eco Sustainable Solutions
It is a Parley-based organic recycling and renewable energy company. Founded in 1995, their recovery and recycling operations cover green waste, food waste, wood waste, excavated soil, and street sweepings. In 2024, a record-breaking year, the company prevented 116,434 tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere by diverting waste from landfill, and generated enough green energy to power the equivalent of 6,600 homes. Current projects include developing the production of biofuel from locally collected food waste to power HGVs serving the local community, as well as aiming to encourage biodiversity on site.
