Rivers for Wimborne - ALL TICKETS BOOKED

Join us for talks on the state of our local rivers and the work that is going on to support them.  The talks are on Monday 13th October 2025 in Allendale House in the Castleman Suite (on the first floor).

The four talks are:

• The River Allen Landscape Recovery project  -  Rob Farrington
• Wimborne Minster Town Council River Allen action group - Councillor Simon Wheeler
• Storm overflows  - Matt Wheeldon (Wessex Water)
• Beavers on the Stour - Steve Oliver (Dorset Wildlife Trust)

Doors open at 6.45pm.  The talks will start at 7pm and last about an hour and a half, including a refreshment break in the middle.  There will be a Q&A session after the talks.

Travel arrangements
Please consider travelling to the event by walking, cycling or by bus (buses will drop you off in Wimborne Square and the venue is a 5 minute walk away).  If you do drive (Allendale car park is next door) please consider car sharing.

Accessibility & toilets
The talks are on the first floor.  There is a ramp up to the front of the building.   There is a lift along a corridor to access the first floor.  There are toilets on the first floor and accessible toilets on the second floor.
