Planet Wimborne, together with other community green groups, including Wimborne War on Waste (WWoW), Win on Waste, Wilding Wimborne & the Minster Environment Group, had stands over both days of Wimborne Folk Festival (11-12th June). This was Planet Wimborne’s first chance to talk to the public about all things environmental, and folk came along for a good chat, particularly about what they could recycle and get fixed.

Wimborne Green Festival

The 2025 Theme is ‘Buy Better, Be More’
Come along to Planet Wimborne's annual Green Festival to meet local groups and hear about all the great environmental activities going on in the town and surrounding area.
The Festival is going from strength to strength and we believe we have something for everyone: from the Minster Fair on the first Saturday to craft workshops, walks and talks spread throughout the week. (Some of the events are ticketed, even though many are free - see links further down this page for tickets.)

Queen's Platinum Jubilee
When Elizabeth was first crowned there were street parties up and down the country. People brought out their
tables and chairs, their best tablecloths and china and celebrated in style.
Together we can keep Britain great by doing the same. Let's say no to all those disposable cups, plates, cutlery, glasses, bunting, balloons and tablecloths that end up as landfill. Instead, let's dust off our pretty china, tablecloths and
homemade bunting and make it a really special occasion.
